Solidzymes offers custom protein expression and purification from E. Coli. We measure protein expression levels under different conditions such as media type, temperature, and inducer concentration Similarly, we can vary the chromatography conditions used during purification. The final result is a protein expression and purification protocol that you know works for your protein.

High Density expression and Purification

We offer protein expression in a five liter benchtop fermenter. This allows E. Coli cultures up to the equivalent of fifty liters of shake flask culture. High-density fermentation is a great way to produce grams of protein for large experiments or for many small experiments that need a consistent supply of protein from your freezer. We also offer freeze drying for improved shipping and storage of your protein.

Testing immobilized enzyme activity can be challenging, but we have the experience to do it efficiently. Once a good enzyme carrier is identified we can test a variety of conditions for immobilization such as enzyme loading, pH, and temperature. We will re-use your new biocatalyst in batch mode or continuously operate it in a packed bed reactor format.
